1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Propertyparking.com ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), operating PropertyParking.com (the "Platform"), processes personal information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

Important: PropertyParking.com is a software service provider. We process data on behalf of Business Customers (space owners) but we do NOT store End User data in our own systems.

2. Understanding Data Roles

Under privacy laws like GDPR and CCPA, different parties have different roles and responsibilities:

The space owner determines why and how your data is processed. They own the Google Sheet where your data is stored. They are legally responsible for your data and are your primary point of contact for data rights requests.

⚙️ Data Processor: Propertyparking.com (PropertyParking.com)

We process data only on behalf of the space owner. We operate the booking software that writes data to the space owner's Google Sheet. We do NOT store your data in our own databases. We do NOT use your data for our own purposes.

👤 Data Subject: You (End User / Renter)

You are the individual whose personal data is being processed. You have rights regarding your data, which should be exercised by contacting the space owner (Data Controller).

3. Information We Process

3.1 Personal Information (Provided by You)

When you make a booking through the Platform, the following minimal information is collected:

3.2 Information We DO NOT Collect or Store

Propertyparking.com does NOT collect, store, or have access to:

Payment card numbers or banking information (payments go directly to space owner via PayPal)
Government IDs, Social Security numbers, or identity documents
Precise GPS location data
Biometric data
Health or medical information
Any data beyond what is listed in section 3.1

3.3 Important: No Propertyparking.com Database

Propertyparking.com does not maintain a database of End User information. Limited operational data (transaction IDs, timestamps, error logs) may be retained by our infrastructure provider (Google) for security and debugging.

Our software processes your booking information transiently and writes it directly to the space owner's Google Sheet. After processing, we do not retain a copy of your data. The space owner's Google Sheet is the sole repository of your booking information.

4. How We Process Your Information

As a Data Processor, Propertyparking.com processes your information solely to provide booking services:

4.1 What We DO NOT Do With Your Data

Use your data for any purpose other than facilitating bookings
Share your data with anyone other than the space owner you booked with

5. Data Sharing

5.1 With Space Owners (Data Controllers)

Your booking information is written directly to the space owner's Google Sheet. This includes your name, email, phone number, and booking details. The space owner uses this information to:

Confirm and manage your booking
Provide access information and instructions
Contact you about changes or issues
Process refunds or cancellations (if applicable)

Important: Once your information is in the space owner's Google Sheet, their use of your data is governed by their own privacy practices. Propertyparking.com is not responsible for how space owners handle your information after it is stored in their systems.

5.2 Third-Party Services

The Platform relies on the following third-party services:

Google (Apps Script, Gmail): Our backend runs on Google's infrastructure. Google's privacy policy applies to their services.
PayPal: Payments are processed directly by PayPal between you and the space owner. Propertyparking.com never sees your payment information. See PayPal's Privacy Policy.

5.3 We Do NOT Sell Your Data

Propertyparking.com does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for any purpose, including marketing.

6. Data Retention

6.1 Propertyparking.com Retention

Propertyparking.com does not retain End User data. We process data transiently and write it to the space owner's Google Sheet. We do not maintain our own End User database, though operational logs may exist in our infrastructure.

6.2 Space Owner Retention

Your data is retained in the space owner's Google Sheet according to their own retention policies. Contact the space owner directly to inquire about or request deletion of your data.

6.3 Email Records

Confirmation emails sent through our system may be retained in Google's email infrastructure as part of normal email delivery. These are transactional records and not a database of user information.

7. Your Rights

Because the space owner is the Data Controller, you should contact the SPACE OWNER directly to exercise your data rights. Their contact information is provided in your booking confirmation email.

7.1 Rights You May Have

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

Access: Request a copy of your personal data
Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
Deletion: Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
Portability: Request your data in a portable format
Objection: Object to certain processing activities
Restriction: Request restriction of processing

7.2 How to Exercise Your Rights

Contact the Space Owner: Use the contact information from your booking confirmation email
Specify Your Request: Clearly state which right you wish to exercise
Provide Identification: The space owner may need to verify your identity

If you are unable to reach the space owner or need assistance, you may contact Propertyparking.com at contact@propertyparking.com and we will attempt to facilitate communication with the space owner.

7.3 California Residents (CCPA)

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:

Right to know what personal information is collected
Right to know if personal information is sold or disclosed
Right to opt-out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell your data)
Right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

7.4 European Users (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have additional rights including:

Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

8. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures in our software, including:

HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
Secure Google Apps Script environment
Input validation and sanitization

However, since data is stored in the space owner's Google Sheet, the security of your stored data depends on the space owner's Google account security settings. Propertyparking.com is not responsible for security breaches in space owners' Google accounts.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect data during processing, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Cookies & Local Storage

The Platform does not set browser cookies on your device. We use only essential browser-native storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) to support the booking flow. This data never leaves your device and is not used for tracking, advertising, or analytics.

10. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly process personal information from children. If you believe a child's information has been submitted through the Platform, please contact the relevant space owner to request deletion.

11. International Data Transfers

Our software operates on Google's infrastructure, which may process data in the United States or other countries. The space owner's Google Sheet may also be hosted in various locations depending on their Google account settings.

By using the Platform, you consent to the processing of your data in the United States and other countries where Google operates.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will indicate changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
